Future Games of London is an independent studio that designs, develops and publishes Smartphone and Tablet games. Founded in September 2009, FGOL create wholly owned and original IP which by October 2017 had achieved over 500 million downloads worldwide following the success of Hungry Shark Evolution. The long-awaited Hungry Shark World, which was released May 2016 is already a smashing success with over 50 million downloads worldwide. 


Ubisoft FGOL is seeking for a talented freelance data analyst with experience using SQL, Redshift and Tableau to provide our studio with data and insights that will drive continued success, ensuring that we offer the best possible player experience to keep players coming back to our games. This role will work closely with a passionate team consisting of the Data Analyst, Monetisation Analyst and Lead Game Designer as partners and advisors. Previous experience with F2P mobile games is desirable.


3 month contract, possibility to extend
Writing SQL queries using Amazon Redshift
Using these queries to provide a comprehensive set of dashboards to monitor the daily performance of KPIs and player behaviour, which will be used across the studio
Investigate and report data issues and anomalies
Help grow new techniques and capabilities in analytics discipline
Help build the Business Intelligence framework to empower the studio, using data from diverse sources


You enjoy playing games and have an interest in the games industry
Confident in manipulating, transforming and analysing complex data in large scales
You are a pro at recognising and trouble-shooting data issues
You are methodical and logical in your approach to things, you understand the importance of accuracy
You are persistent and have a strong attention to detail
You have excellent communication skills
You enjoy working in both individual and team settings


Essential – 5+ years working with SQL in a mid-senior role
Essential – Using visual tools, ideally Tableau, to empower data exploration
Essential – Redshift, experience using Upsight a plus
Essential – Solid foundation in analytics
Desirable – BSc in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical field preferred; advanced degrees strongly preferred
Desirable – games industry background
Desirable – quantitative statistical analysis, ideally in gaming, in an internet or technology company is a plus
