BI (BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE) ANALYST DEVELOPER - (SQL / ETL / DATA WAREHOUSE / POWER BI)

You will be brought in to design and build the IT systems that are needed to support the growing business and lending platforms. The individual will be influential in the analysis, design, development, and ongoing maintenance of these class leading platforms, whilst liaising with business teams, vendors and platforms. The person will be working within a small IT team, reporting to the Head of Technology, and will be comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, team-orientated environment.

This client specializes in warranties and insurance and are a subsidiary of a global brand name. The strategy of the business is to ensure that customers are well serviced whilst focusing on the operational capabilities and efficiency.

THE ROLE:

Key accountabilities of this position will include (but not limited to):

  • To provide BI technical guidance to assist the business, business analysts and/or clients with defining business requirements.
  • Liaise with third parties and clients regarding Business Intelligence.
  • Use experience to mentor other team members in BI technologies and methodologies.
  • To create design documents consistent with the agreed user requirements.
  • To ensure BI/MI best practises are observed in terms of the accuracy, efficiency and robustness.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Ideally, the candidate will have the following skillset / attributes:

    • Strong background in SQL Server, ETL and data warehousing.
    • Strong SQL Programming skills (T-SQL, Stored procedures, Functions, etc.)
    • Strong background with the Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS).
    • Good knowledge of DAX & MDX.
    • Experience working with PowerBI.
    • A passion to drive systems forward through automation.
    • Strong business analysis skills as they will be responsible for working closely with the business to gather requirements and implement them.
    • Good communication skills.
    • A passion to learn new technologies.

THE BENEFITS:

An extremely lucrative package is on offer, with the basic salary ranging between £60,000 - £75,000 as well as other benefits including a bonus and excellent pension scheme.
