Pricing Analysis Manager

As Pricing Analysis Manager, you will play a vital role in the future of Expedia’s affiliate business. You will help drive the business forward by identifying revenue opportunities, setting up reporting and analysis to track incremental benefits from revenue optimization initiatives, and monitor alignment with business objectives and strategies. You have an eye for detail, but also have a passion to understand the big picture. As a “black-belt” in teamwork, you will be working in a cross-functional environment, build strong relationships within the Analytics team, and with external stakeholders across EAN and Expedia Inc.
You will help shape our understanding of success drivers for our partners, evaluate commercial performance, and lead analysis on revenue optimization with detailed understanding of our partners’ business model, hotel supply, market trends and the industry. You will have the opportunity to own and develop new insights, explore new ways of working, and be part of a global team.
You will own analysis on Pricing initiatives, identify future revenue opportunities and build out tracking and reporting
You will evaluate alignment with business objectives ensuring future growth of the business
You will lead cross-functional work teams across commercial and analytics organizations
You will perform deep-dive analysis and statistical tests to get to the bottom of performance drivers for our partners, provide recommendation for improvements and quantify results
You will create dashboards to monitor performance and visualize insights
You will represent the team in meetings, ensuring perspectives of the broader Analytics team are incorporated
Communicate analysis findings and recommendations to various levels including organization leadership
Required Experiences and Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Business/Economics, IT, or quantitative discipline, Graduate degree preferred
A proven track record in an Analytics role, successfully managing a team, stakeholders or projects in online travel, online retail, banking or another data-intensive commercial environment
Good understanding of revenue drivers, supply and demand economics (price elasticity, etc.)
Effective working knowledge of statistics with ability to apply to commercial problem solving
Solid SQL skills, with ability to write SQL from scratch, and good understanding of databases with proven ability to analyze large amounts of data. Experience with R and/or Python desirable.
Ability to visualize data at large scale (Tableau preferred)
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex analysis in a format that is easily understandable for the target audience
Self-starter mind set and willingness to challenge assumptions/status-quo
