Junior MS SQL Database Administrator (DBA) - Reading
An organisation in the Berkshire area is seeking a motivated and talented Junior DBA with excellent client-facing skills to join their organisation as they go from strength to strength. The company are serious about fostering talent and being the best in their field, and contribute heavily into the SQL Community.
As a member of the Managed Services team, you'll be working on a number of different issues in SQL Server ranging from simple to complex, with a focus on delivering a high-end, consistent service to a varied client base.
Key skills include:
- Experience working in a customer-facing environment such as a Service Desk or Managed Services team
- Installing, configuring, migration, performance monitoring, maintenance, back up and data recovery
- Troubleshooting issues across the related stack - network, hardware, and MS SQL Server
- Deploying SQL Server components (DDL, DML, DCL)
This is a permanent role offering the successful candidate a salary of £27-35,000 plus an on-call allowance of £8,000 per annum, in addition to attractive benefits and a great office environment. Industry-leading training will be on offer for the successful candidate, with the aim of making you a SQL Server expert within a relatively short timeframe. The role will be office-based in Berkshire, readily commutable from around the county and an hour from Waterloo.
