The insight and capabilities delivered by this role will be used in applications across marketing, portfolio development, process improvement and customer service in our Consumer line of business (broadband, voice, BT Sport, BT TV).
What you’ll be doing
You'll be carrying out modelling and predictive analytics in Consumer leading to a significantly enhanced understanding of the behaviour of our customer and prospect base.
You'll improve predictive accuracy of key value driving events such as churn, upsell, downspin, and more precise targeting of highly segmented marketing messages and proactive interventions.
As well as responding to business requirements, you'll be increasingly proactively based on a deep understanding of business objectives and provide consultancy in analysis and data mining to the Marketing community by steering the customer selection and targeting process.
We’ll also need to see these on your CV:
Experience of using analytics within marketing, CRM, or risk based teams.
Proficient in SQL and SPSS. Familiar with an Oracle environment.
Experience of developing statistical propensity models.
Ability to analyse and synthesize the available data and bring out value-added insights to the clients.
Ideally a degree in math, statistics, or engineering.
Experience in analysing large multi-million record databases.
Exposure to R would be a bonus.
