Financial Analyst

Our client, a world-class organisation and global leaders in their industry, are looking for a Financial Analyst to join their London based team.

The successful Financial Analyst will support Strategy and Business Development departments across the organisation, aiding decision makers with identifying and valuating potential business ventures and projects.

Role Responsibilities:

*Financial Analyst will support all issues related to a working supply/demand model.

*Financial Analyst will undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis and data collection as required.

*Financial Analyst will manage an appropriate documentation system for data collected and analysed.

*Financial Analyst will work alongside colleagues to provide the business with intelligence on competitors in the market and performance drivers, from publicly available sources.

*Financial Analyst will work alongside team members to analyse proposals for- using appropriate valuation techniques- potential acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic projects.

*Financial Analyst will be able to support the negotiation and potential execution of acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic projects through analysis of value, price and structure.

Skills/ Experience required:

*Financial Analyst must be financially literate, with the ability to analyse/interpret all major economic performance indicators of companies' accounts- e.g. sales, operating costs, EBITDA, cash flows, ROCE.

*Financial Analyst must have a solid understanding of how to independently collect, analyse and organise relevant data from a variety of publicly available data sources (financial reports, trade press, analyses reports etc.).

*Financial Analyst will have a proven record of success in an analytical and financial based role supporting decision making.

*Financial Analyst must have advanced Excel modelling techniques, alongside good Microsoft office skills.

*Advantageous would be any of the following qualifications: Pr.Eng, ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or CFA. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake the CFA course, which will be sponsored by the employer.

*Proficiency in Oracle's Hyperion Strategic Finance financial modelling package would be a distinct advantage.
