We are looking for a Data Provisioning Analyst to support our busy Business Analytics and Pricing teams in keeping Admiral Group ahead of the curve. You’ll utilise your knowledge and our technology to drive profits in all parts of the Group, taking ownership and driving efficiencies of the data processes and procedures. No- one will ever say “No” to a good idea!
You are self-motivated, able to work well in a team and capable of delivering to agreed timelines. You will have a strong interest in using data extraction and preparation skills to optimise queries to source data, discovering new, untapped data sources and spreading efficiencies throughout the department. You will be someone eager to learn about current data processes within and outside of the business and be pro-active in suggesting new ideas. Perhaps you have worked in a data based role for some time and you are looking to develop into management or you already have management experience and are looking for a new challenge.
Assist in initial recruiting of data provisioning team.
Display all the qualities and attributes detailed within the Admiral “Core Competencies”, promote the Admiral culture, and comply with the conduct standards expected of a manager in the Admiral Group.
Be responsible for all aspects of managing data provisioning analyst(s) including their recruitment, training/development, 1-2-1s and annual reviews, and ensuring that their skills are of the required standard in order to carry out their role effectively.
Liaison between the Business Analytics department and key stakeholders of the Data Warehouse.
Communication of any issues, delays or amendments to the source data to the wider department.

Responsibilities of the team
Ensuring the smooth and regular running of the regular data preparation jobs.
Improving and optimising existing data ETL methods used.
Creating and maintaining data assurance measures for the department.
Connecting the data scientists with new data inputs that become available.
Creating and administering a data assurance policy to ensure the highest quality data for the wider team.
Ownership of ad hoc data summary reporting requests.
Implement models created by the data scientists to assist the rest of the business in making decisions utilising our data.
Desired skills and experience
Degree in a numerical subject. Examples include Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, or other technical field.
Strong data ETL and problem solving skills.
A keen interest in optimisation of data extraction techniques.
A working knowledge of one or more programming languages. Preferred languages include: SAS and SQL.
Results and delivery focused with the ability to initiate and drive projects to completion.
Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences and a desire to work within a dynamic team in a demanding environment.
