The Data Provision Analyst will be responsible for the regular and scheduled data feeds and outputs to the business stakeholders, including implicit access controls to our data, alongside Control and Change Management of the Data Warehouses, Master and Reference Data controlled by the Group Business Intelligence Team (GBI).
About the Role
You’ll control, reconcile and quality assure data for the systems that are controlled and supported by the GBI Team, being responsible for a catalogue of daily, weekly and monthly finance reports which play a key role in business metrics and supporting the business in driving improvement in financial related measures.
Being responsible for control and quality assurance of data and relevant master / reference data controlled by GBI you will ensure that data supplied has been reconciled and prepared to specification, any quality issues addressed, and relevant documentation updated/maintained to agreed timescales, whilst ensuring relevant stakeholders are kept fully informed.
Ensuring appropriate processes and process documentation is in place you’ll manage data interfaces between systems such that all transactions take place accurately and reliably to support financial forecasting, planning and performance management. Handling customer queries and change requests, to ensure all data is updated in an accurate and timely manner, you’ll ensure that access securities are adhered to and that operational users are fully skilled in order to utilise the systems as required.
Possessing strong experience working with data warehouses, data sets and their relationships alongside relevant experience in data management, you’ll be able to learn relevant systems and data contained therein.
With excellent knowledge of MS Excel/Access, ideally with experience with SQL, Teradata SQL, you’ll have good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical matters to financial managers from a cross section of users at differing levels.
Able to think creatively and analytically, you’ll digest & action requirements to identify and recommend alternative options for customers.
Experience of working to tight deadlines with the ability to respond at pace to changing requirements in business performance reporting is required. Being highly numerate you’ll have a keen eye for detail and will actively contribute to process improvements for the team.
