Overview ? The Analytics Manager works collaboratively with Visa stakeholders to help promote and deliver analytics tools and dashboards with a defined commercial ?value? and measurable ?return?:

o    Internally: from C-level to Visa Client facing staff to help drive strategies and investments (senior leadership teams, CEO office, Strategy/ Business Performance, Finance )

o    Externally: to Clients through different stakeholders (such as Relationship Managers, Consulting, Marketing, Product, Retailer)

Key accountabilities:

·         As a manager you will know how to use data and analytics to deliver significant commercial improvement to Visa and its Clients while proactively delivering, managing and planning multiple deliverables. Daily activities will include:

o    Extract and transform data, available from a variety of sources (Finance, Visa Processed data, 3rd party ? Clients, Oxford Economics, etc.)

o    Conduct data analysis to fulfil business requirements e.g. build scalable tools/ dashboards in Tableau or any other Visa approved applications

o    Provide feedback to data custodians (Visa processed data, Finance, data provided by Visa Clients) on the acceptable data structure needed for reporting and analysis

o    Create process documentation and manage version controls

·         Work with the team analysts to detail requirements (request briefs, Client proposals), provide oversight and project management

o    Process - Enforcement of analytics policies/ principles, processes, and methodologies, especially data compliance

o    Innovation ? Socialise new ideas which are scalable and have market demand

·         Ensure internal stakeholder management to promote the Analytics team as a centre of excellence, usage of Analytics tools

o    Create and deliver business insights for customers (Clients and internal stakeholders), storyboard using MINTO principles

Essential criteria:

·         Excellent analytical skills & ability to work and communicate the benefits of data/ fact-base

·         Strong data visualisation skills using Tableau

·         Ability to work with large and disparate data sets by primarily utilising SAS

·         Strong problem solving, stakeholder management/ negotiation, project management capabilities and skills in communication especially knowledge management ? SharePoint, Intranet site development, case studies

·         Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience

·         Evidence an ability to manage time effectively due to shifting priorities and deliver to fixed timescales

·         Hands on experience with Python, SQL, Microstrategy, Tableau and SAS

Desirable criteria:

·         Fluency in one or more additional European languages; Italian, Spanish, German preferred

·         Experience working in one or more of the card payments markets in Europe

·         Educated to degree level

·         Working knowledge of R, Alteryx, OpenRefine, Apache Hadoop, Apache Hive, Tableau Server, SSAS (Cube), Rally, NoSQL

·         Understanding of the:

o    Data, Business Intelligence and Analytics industry

o    Business levers in banking/ payments that drive revenue, lower cost, manage risk
