Our environment is dynamic and fast paced and as we continually uplift our Analytics capabilities, we are looking to recruit a BI Solution Architect to work within our Data Architecture team, who has a proven track record of success enabling business insights via Analytics.
developing and communicating our Business Intelligence and Analytics architecture and strategy
provide leadership, direction and governance in the deployment of Analytics capabilities
provide design governance and guidance to development projects
Approve solutions for Prudential UK strategic fit and IT architectural compliance
Provide consultancy and technical support
The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of modern Business Intelligence & Analytics solutions and methods, combined with excellent communications skills, strong relationship management skills and proven expertise in one or more of the following:
Dimensional DataMart Design
Big Data technologies (e.g. Hadoop\Hive, NoSQL )
Cloud-based Analytics solutions
Advanced Analytics \ Data Science solutions
Significant experience in one or more major technology (e.g. Hadoop\Hive, Cloudera, Informatica, R, Python, SAP Business Objects, Qlik)
Experience of IT architecture and infrastructure
Significant experience of the systems development lifecycles and methodology (e.g. agile, waterfall)
Significant experience of project delivery including large, complex projects
Previous experience of Financial Services (preferably Life Assurance and Pensions) would be advantageous
Relevant professional qualification or graduate calibre
Expert level knowledge of industry best practice, good network/links with external bodies and individuals in the same field
