Admiral recently launched a new Van insurance product and we are looking for talented individuals to drive the business forward.

As a Business Intelligence Analyst you will be responsible for providing reports, information and analysis to key decision makers.  You will be a recent graduate or have equivalent commercial experience in a business intelligence reporting role.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Provide regular reports & analysis for the Van management team and wider leadership teams
Analysing and interpreting data for reporting purposes
Managing and prioritising information requests including documentation of developed reports
Translate business questions to data and analysis requirements
Carry out data mining, analysis, visualisation and presentation
Administer and be primarily responsible for the reporting infrastructure in  SAS, SQL Server  and Microstrategy reporting tools as appropriate
Act as an internal consultant using specialist knowledge, skills and experience to advise on the development and implementation of analysis, processes and business initiatives to meet business needs
Continually upgrade the Business Intelligence / Reporting infrastructure in line with business requirements
Liaise with staff from other areas of the business to establish reporting needs and deliver insightful and accurate information.
Timely delivery of regular and ad hoc reports
Support the business by maintaining and developing a suite of reports for analysis by members of the Analysis and Management teams

 

Essential Skills

 

Graduate level or equivalent commercial experience
Be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to interact directly with end users at all levels
Ability to handle multiple tasks and creatively approach situations
Highly analytical and numerate
Strong written and communication skills
Ability to deliver high quality work within deadline
Flexible approach, highly motivated and willing to contribute to areas outside direct responsibilities
Willingness to challenge and question processes to understand business needs

 

Desirable Skills

 

Previous experience using SAS, SQL Server, Microstrategy and Excel VBA
Working with large datasets
Knowledge or experience of predictive analysis, forecasting or statistical modelling
Degree in Maths, Science or Computer Science
