We are currently recruiting for a Business Intelligence Team Lead(BI) on a 12 month FTC to cover maternity leave within our Service Operations segment based out of offices in Salford Quays. We would also be open to recruiting a contractor throughout this period.
This role will provide support and management of the strategic Oracle Business Intelligence deliverables within the UK&I. Assisting in the design, planning, development and to establish and maintain BI technology environments. In addition, this position provides business critical essbase support and management as part of month-end and year-end financial accounting.

Service Operations leverages our global expertise and best practice to bring the best of Sodexo to all of our clients. It includes everything from FM expertise to food development through to bid support, health and safety, and contract design and management.
Management and leadership of the BI function within IS&T for the UK and Ireland, small team of BI Analyst’s
Defines BI systems roadmaps and related architecture to support the strategic goals of the business and delivers againstthem
Provide hands-on technical support and development
Resolution of system errors and support calls
Production of financial month/year end extracts
Facilitate ad-hoc data requests and report requests (run and fix)
Management of small projects
Daily system checks to ensure integrity
Act as a development project resource when required providing consultancy, development and configuration skills.
Maintenance of Operational Procedures
Assist in the gathering of Business requirements (functional and non-functional) through workshops and analysis
Uses an understanding of performance to develop optimised new code and enhance existing code.
Takes initiative to ensure technical skills and specialisations are kept up to date in line with industry developments
Uses experience to make informed decisions on selection and execution of all technical approaches across a wide field, either in a management or advisory capacity
Educated to a minimum of degree level and / or professional qualifications in a relevant subject
Demonstrable experience in a relevant technical lead, development and support role
Excellent Technical Knowledge - Oracle Essbase system 11 and above. MAXL, Essbase Load Rules, Calc scripts and report scripts.
Excellent understanding of data warehousing (Microsoft SQL Server), ETL/interface design and management, OLAP cube design, configuration and management.
Good understanding of data security issues, version control and configuration management.
Good technical writing skills with ability to produce high quality technical specifications
Experience of the full project lifecycle
Good interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
Prepared to travel to meet Business stakeholders
