We are seeking a permanent, full time BI Specialist to join our International IT team department based in The Body Shop’s HQ in Littlehampton. This role will lead the functional and technical design for our BI front end solutions and work with the Solution Architect to ensure that we build out our solution to a consistent design approach.
We have a major programme to update and improve our BI solutions, migrating our BW Data Warehouse to Hana, and evolving our BI toolkit to provide better functionality, flexibility and performance for our user base. This role is to be the expert on BI tools within The Body Shop, building the case for our users to migrate from Bex to the Business Objects suite, and building the ‘to-be’ reporting ways of working.

A Day in the Life:
Lead IT design and quality management for specific initiatives. Ensuring appropriate involvement and contribution from peer International IT and business teams
Be the focal point for the user community to demonstrate best practice in the use of our BI tools.
Promote the your solution internally, Identifying how better usage of our systems could meet or exceed TBS business requirements
Provide technical product expertise including identifying potential risks and associated mitigations.
Act as project architect for projects as required ensuring alignment with design authority for architectural decisions
Shape the roadmap for the our BI solutions
Provide L3 support for support issues in your functional area
Work on out of hours support on a rota basis
Do you fit the bill?
Experience across the Business Objects suite, especially Webi and Analysis for Office, and ideally also Lumira.
Experience on BW/Bex platform (to support current usage and aid migration analysis)
Multiple project lifecycle experiences with major BI programmes, including design leadership of one or more areas of SAP Retail, Wholesale, Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Clear communicator verbally and written, with good ability to produce process and procedure documentation in business terminology where required.
A quick “thinker” with the ability to recognise issues and identify solutions.
Self-motivated and process driven, with experience of working in a high-pressured environment, working to deadlines, working alone, and using own initiative.
Ideally ability to understand and debug application code.
Ideally ability to design and write efficient queries using available tools.
