BI Business Analyst

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Business Analyst to gathering requirements, map out business processes, analyse and deliver business insight. We are looking for a communicator to work with a variety of different departments with technology you will be solvling business problems and providing insight so we can delivery and achieve our customer promise. Analysing and integrating BI strategic development is a key part of this role and we will look for you to marry best practice industry standards with business objectives.

You will:

Creating and developing relationships with business partners, identifying and shaping opportunities to improve business process or inform decisions with better Business Intelligence.
Conducting and facilitating workshops to understand, analyse and define business needs.
Challenge thinking and traditional solutions to advance the business by addressing the true business objectives.
Delivering clear and concise documentation to enable efficient development, ensuring knowledge is transferrable across the group and in a consistent, structured format.
Supporting development team with business insight, translating between the technical and non-technical.
Engaging stakeholders to ensure implementation is managed effectively on scope and usability from concept to post implementation sustainability.
Supporting the lead business analyst with business engagement to shape requirements so they adhere to key principles and strategic objectives to achieve wider business goals
Developing test plans and scenarios to ensure complete, accurate and approved solutions.

You will need:

Proven experience of working on projects that have delivered BI solutions successfully into the business in Business Analyst role.
Familiarity with Business Intelligence Tools, ideally Microsoft BI Suite.
Retail experience
Understanding of a project lifecycle, familiarity with waterfall and agile methodologies.
Experience of business process mapping techniques and charting of hierarchies / reference data.
Experience of Business Intelligence and reporting tools.
Preferably having experience within and principle understanding of a retail organisation
Comfortable in communicating with a variety of stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
Self-starter who is comfortable operating in structured and unstructured environments and who is able to maintain motivation and direction at all times.
Able to convert ambiguity into clear and direct information.
Proven experience of having worked with development and test teams.
